From 31 August 2020 until June 2021, commissioned by the municipality of The Hague, work on the Willemspark bridge, sewerage system, tramline 1 and surrounding roadwork will take place. This affects the accessibility of our office.
Despite ongoing work, our private carpark at Alexanderstraat 2 will remain accessible through construction roads in the work. While work takes place, there is a gatekeeper at the entrance of the work area who will let you through when you indicate you are local traffic. He can also answer any questions you may have. Outside of these hours you can carefully follow the marked route. Please note that you must enter the work area from the Javastraat. It is inaccessible from the Laan van Meerdervoort.
Due to work on tramlines and stops, our accessibility via public transport will also change. In the period from 31 August, 2020 to 21 February, 2021, tramline 1 will not run. Travellers can make use of replacement buses. As through traffic between Plein 1813 and the Mauritskade is blocked for the entire period, bus lines 22, 24 and 28 will follow alternative routes until June 2021. The current bus routes and departure time scan be viewed on the HTM website.
Work is currently underway on phase 2 of the work. This will last from 12 October, 2020 to 10 January, 2021. As a result, the Alexanderstraat will be closed from the Javastraat to the Mauritskade. The Javastraat is open again. The local diversion route runs through the Zeestraat and the Anna Paulownastraat. Pedestrians and cyclists can cross Plein 1813. The situation is illustrated on the map below. You can view all phases of the work via the website of the Municipality of The Hague (Dutch).
